GOOD 3 STAR HOTEL LOCATED ON A QUIET GARDEN STREET YET ONLY TWO MINUTES WALK TO THE EARLS COURT TUBE STATION. EXCELLENT BISTRO AND BAR.
Barkston Gardens is a great location. It is a garden street with trees and grass yet only a few paces from Earls Court Road with its many restaurants and shops.
South Kensington is just 5 minutes walk away and the Earls Court Exhibition Center is a 10 minute stroll.
From here you can walk to the museums of Kensington. Fulham Road and Kings Road with their gastropubs are both within a 15 minute walk.
The Barkston Gardens Hotel is a converted terraced Victorian House offering spacious, comfortable rooms with modern-day amenities. Built at the turn of the 19th century, this 3 star standard hotel now features a spacious bistro, and a traditional pub-style bar with high-speed Internet access while still retaining its charm and splendour.

We were visiting from Canada and expected less. It was good value for money. Staff friendly breakfast kept us going all day. Clean room. Location excellent for seeing London and returning to Heathrow Airport

I thought The Barkston Gardens Hotel was good value for a central location. The staff especially the woman at reception were very helpful. The room seemed a bit down at heel but adequate. Breakfast (£4.50 supplement for a full English, which I did and it was fine) If you need a place to stay in Central London for a night or two and you're on a budget then might be for you. If I'm in this area again I will rebook.
