Britannia International Hotel London

Britannia International Hotel is a 4-star hotel conveniently situated in London Docklands on the perimeter of Canary Wharf, just across from the historical Jamaican Sugar dock. The flagship hotel of the Britannia Hotel Group, with sister hotels in Hampstead and Gatwick as well as other UK locations, the International Hotel is highly recommended by all who stay there.

Just a flat one to two minute walk from Heron Quays or Canary Wharf tube station, across an arty suspension bridge and under the Docklands Light Railway and you come to the impressive hotel. Blending in well with the other modern high rise buildings around it, the Britannia International can be immediately recognised, with its shore side restaurant and bar.

The hotel offers over 400 guest rooms, each traditionally styled with modern accents. WiFi wireless internet, Jacuzzi baths and satellite TV, listing just some of the modern conveniences, also offered throughout restaurants and public areas in Docklands. All rooms are spacious and offer fantastic views, unrivalled by any other hotel. One side of the hotel (the front side) overlooks Marsh Wall, Rotherhithe, Canada Water and as far North West as Southwark and Waterloo. On particularly clear days and evenings, you can see the London Eye and Charing Cross. The rear of the hotel looks out over the dock, towards Canary Wharf and Cabot Square. This view is also offered by the Britannia International Penthouse suites, from their own private balcony.

The Britannia Hotel has taken all guests needs into consideration including excellent facilities for the wheelchair user. Level Access, Wide doorways and lifts, car park access as well as disabled access rooms with roll in showers.

All guest rooms at this hotel come complete with private bathroom (bathtub and shower), air conditioning, hair dryer, work desk, Tea and coffee facilities, Television with satellite channels, Direct dial telephone and ironing facilities including a trouser press. Jacuzzi rooms offer a larger Jacuzzi bath and shower also. At the time of writing, the Britannia International has the only in room Jacuzzi's in the Docklands area. Executive Rooms offer more detailed luxury, with spacious rooms and more elegant decorations.

Guests are spoilt for choice, when its time to dine. The International Hotel boasts three restaurants, each offering a fantastic array of dishes and usually more than one menu. Breakfast is served in Jenny's Carvery, as is lunch and dinner. For those wishing to try a more continental dinner, there is Cromptons French Restaurant and also the Britannia Pizzeria, the later serving a delicious menu of Italian dishes. The Conservatory Bar, offers a panoramic view of the Jamaican Sugar Dock broken only by the occasion DLR train travelling between Canary Wharf and Greenwich. Prices in the hotels restaurants are very reasonable with a three course meal available in the Carvery at just £15.50 pounds per person.

The Health Conscious guests are well catered for with a superbly equipped health club available to guests at just £5.00 pounds per day. The Health Club includes an indoor heated swimming pool, cardio vascular trainers, weights, sauna and steam room and also hair and beauty treatments.

The location of the Britannia International, make it perfect for visits to any Docklands location. The Excel Exhibition Center is under ten minutes away by Docklands Light Railway, as is Greenwich, The Millennium Dome, Cutty Sark, and a number of major companies such as HSBC, Reuters, Exxon Mobil, Bank of New York and Chevron Texaco. Travel from Canary Wharf by tube to Covent Garden is approx 22 minutes, with journey by Docklands Light Railway to Tower Hill just 15 minutes approx, making the Britannia International Hotel no different in journey time to the West End and Theatreland, as Earls Court or Kensington.

The International Hotel offers excellent prices, especially for Jacuzzi rooms. We recommend checking these rooms for Valentines Day and other special occassions, when coupled with the room view, you will truly have a memorable stay.
