The Ellen Terry Bar is the perfect place to unwind and relax after a busy day. The wood panelled bar offers a cosy environment is named after Dame Ellen Terry, one of the leading ladies of the Victorian stage, who lived in the building from 1847 - 1928.
On sunny days the walled patio garden you can enjoy your drinks and food "al fresco" Refreshements and snacks are available throughout the day.
The Burns hotel has the added benefit of being very close to the many shops, bars and restaurants on Earls Court Road whilst an easy ten minute walk will get you to Gloucester Road and Brompton Road with another wide variety of retail facilities. The public areas above standard and include a patio garden and a bar. Street parking is free of charge after 6.30pm & before 8.30am Monday to Saturday, free all day Sunday & Bank Holidays and there is an NCP secure car park within 5 minutes walk.
LOCATION
The Burns Hotel is just 400m walk from the Earls Court Exhibition Centre which stages some of the largest functions in London including many music concerts. The tube at Earls Court (150m) facilitates easy direct travel to and from Heathrow Airport as well as into the very centre of London via the Circle and District lines and the Piccadilly Line. This means that you can travel direct to Leicester Square, Theatreland and Covent Garden in a very few minutes. Should you be arriving on the Heathrow Express, the tube travels directly to Earls Court. Wimbledon is also on a direct connection.

In the immediate area of the Burns Hotel there are many restaurants, bars and pubs. Two short stops on the tube or a 20 minute walk will take you to the heart South Kensington with several well known restaurants including Bibendum. Similarly, High Street Kensington, 1km long shopping street offers all variety of eatery and retails outlet including an 80,000 square feet whole foods supermarket.
A 25 minute walk or 10 minutes on the tube will take you to Knightsbridge with its two famous stores, Harrods and Harvey Nicols. The London Eye and Buckingham Palace can both be accessed within a few minutes travle whilst the Tower of London is a direct trip on the tube.
This is also an area of museums which include the Science, Victoria and Albert and the Natural History, all are walkable.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Burns. The room was a good size and the staff were very helpful. Its so close to the tube station but on a quiet side street with a garden in the middle so no rude awakening with traffic noise. The tube links are excellent and we travelled all over London. Lots of restaurants in the area.
