Walking along John Islip Street from Pimlico, takes your through traditional Westminster free stone buildings, after five minutes or so of walking along this peaceful street, the City Inn Westminster rises out of the traditional arcitecture, with its modern glass structure amd impressive height.
Situated between Millbank Tower and the Home Office, The City Inn Westminster is proof that old institutional London is fast becoming a thriving, modern cosmopolitan city.
13 skybound floors, offer over 450 guest rooms at the City Inn Westminster, each with stunning modern decor and award winning comfortable facilities. Each room has private bathrooms and are flooded with natural light by the large windows, most running from the ceiling to the floor.
Each room features air conditioning, CD player, DVD player, Television, satellite TV channels, direct telephone, broadband modem point (ethernet), room safe (large enough for laptops), tea and coffee, and iron and ironing board.
The private bathrooms offer complimentary toiletries, a hairdryer and mist free mirrors, most rooms also offer bathrobes and walk in power showers.
Rooms are complete with twenty four hour room service, anti allergy bedding, complimentary broadband internet access and show the following TV channels; MTV, SKY 1, SKY News, SKY Sports, Film Four, BBC News 24, CNN International, Bloomberg, CNBC, TMF and TCM.
Disabled rooms with wheelchair access are available on request. These specially adapted rooms include walk in showers, bathrooms with grab rails and doors wide enough for wheelchair access. These rooms feature on each floor in limited quantities.

The City Inn is famous for offering exceptional views of the London skyline and panoramic backdrops to your stay. The Houses of Parliament and London Eye are especially visible and make for excellent viewing at dusk and in the evening when London is lit up.
The hotel architecture is not the only contempory design, the City Inn's City Cafe Restaurant offers modern European cuisine of an excellent standard. The menu changes daily, with an a la carte menu, vegetarian menu, Sunday lunch menu and childrens menu available. Recently added is the Express Breakfast menu which tempts guests with "on the go" foods such as Salmon and Cream Cheese Bagels, Breakfast Bars, Muffins, Sausage and Bacon Wraps, Croissants, fresh fruit, juice and smoothies. A similar breakfast menu including more conventional items, such as cereals, toast, tea, coffee, etc is also available from the hotels restaruant. The City Cafe offers alfresco dinning in warmer months, in the arty "Side Street".
To add to the luxury of the City Cafe, there is the Millbank Lounge. A classy, hip designer bar offering a fantasic drinks menu including cocktails and soft drinks, the Millbank would be as at home in Manhatten or Tokyo, as it is in London. Deep red furniture contrast the beige pillars and walls, which blend seemlessly with other funky seating and the large bar. The Millbank Lounge offers a lunch and dinner menu, with a Thai themed assortment of dishes and deserts. The dinner menu features "modern tapas" including English, American, Asian, Greek, Indian and Spanish options.
The City Inn Westminster Hotel is situated in Westminster, on the bank of the Thames, near to Lambeth Bridge. Pimlico and Westminster tube stations are nearby, with Victoria and Vauxhall, just a few minutes further by taxi. The immediate area is home to Londons best known landmarks, such as the Jewel Tower, St Johns Concert Hall, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Westminster Cathedral, Westminster City Hall, The Tate Modern, and New Scotland Yard.

Travel doesnt need to be restricted to the tube and taxi. Millbank River Pier, offers connection to the River Service, which runs from Chelsea to Barrier Gardens, with many stops inbetween including; Westminster, Embankment, Waterloo, London Bridge, The Hilton Docklands, Canary Wharf and Greenwich.
