"The Copthorne Tara is one of those hotels that does not initially spring to mind for your London booking. There are few well known hotels in this immediate part of Kensington, most being a 10 minute walk south of here. Do not let that put you off.

The hotel is located just a few metres from High street Kensington which is a busy upmarket shopping and residential area with some of the best bars and restaurants in Kensington including an Indian restaurant with a Michelin star, Zaika.

The local underground station is on the Circle and District line which means that travelling all around central london is very easy and fast. This line goes all the way to the Tower of London in the city.
The hotel is a modern building on a quiet side road offering reduced traffic noise to its guests.

Unfortunately, the hotel is in need of a refurbishment and is still selling rooms on the basis its a cheap 4 star hotel. If you think of it as a better quality 3 star you will not be as disappointed.

It is a common problem in London that hotels are well past their refurbishment date and still trading on an overstated descriptive basis."
