After his divorce from Katherine of Aragon, Henry abandoned the palace and it underwent various conversions. In its most recent history, Blackfriars House (the name of the current site) was the Spicer Brothers' paper warehouse, supporting nearby Fleet Street, and more recently still, offices to Clifford Chance.
