Bus, tube or taxi, what's the most effective way to move around London?

That's going to depend on where you want to go and how fast you want to get there. All three will work, of course, but you would have to see where the various tube stations are to know if it will work for your destination. The tube or bus would be the least expensive modes of travel for sure.

I agree with snarky, it depends where you want to go. The tube is very efficient, but you will need to know which tube lines go to which places. Also, the tube can get very busy at certain times of the day, which should be avoided unless you have to travel during those times. The bus services are very good, but travelling this way can be quite time consuming. If you aren't in any rush, buses are also a good way of seeing some of the sights as you travel to your destination.

I intend to travel by means of every mode of transportation I can. I really want to try everything. I definitely will use the methods that are more cost effective as often as possible, however. I also want to be able to walk many place from wherever I end up staying. Walking is really the best way to get a good look at everything.
