The Grange Rochester Hotel is situated in central London in Victoria. It offers a good standard of accommodation in a good area for travel around London.
What we like about the Rochester Hotel is its location in leafy Vincent Square which means no 24 hour traffic under your bedroom window. Just a couple of minutes walk and you are back in the action and can easily walk to Victoria Station and attarctions such as Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, London Eye and Westminster Cathedral.
The public areas are not huge but are very comfortable. There is a lovely bar area with cricket memorabilia and a nice light restaurant where the food is well above average. The hotel also has an adjoining wine bar.
On the downside, the Grange Rochester has a late 3pm check in on Fridays and Saturdays. Other days are 2pm. Also our bathroom was very small with a high sided bath with overhead shower.
Travel around London could not be easier with Victoria Station being only a few minutes walk away. From here you can travel direct to London Gatwick Airport in 30 minutes. The tube from Victoria has the Circle and District Line which travels all around central London with trains every 5 minutes.

Booked this hotel online and price was good at 114 pounds for a double room. Its only a few minutes walk from Victoria Station and I found it very easily. Best thing is that its off the main road so I got a good nights sleep. You could say its a lad dated, the styling is wood and marble and maybe done more than 10 years ago. I liked the glass lift! Bed was very good but the bathroom was small even by London standards. I would stay again.
