The four star Hilton London Green Park, London is situated in Londons beautiful and exclusive Mayfair district. Although it does not have the sparkling, modern finish of many Hilton hotels, it offers proximity to Londons major attractions in comfortable surroundings.
Mayfair is a small region of London, bounded by Hyde Park, Oxford Street, Regent Street, and Piccadilly. The Hilton London Green Park is located in the south of this area, in a small street just off Piccadilly, very close to Green Park tube station. The area has some great shopping and dining experiences: The Ritz, Fortnum & Mason, Selfridges, Regent Street, Oxford Street, Bond Street, and Burlington Arcade. You are also, however, in the centre of many of Londons major attractions, and there is always something new to see within walking distance, like Buckingham Palace, Admiralty Arch, the National Gallery, and Trafalgar Square. You are also just across the road from Green Park, and its wide open spaces, and you are around the corner from the enormous Hytde Park with the Serpentine winding lazily through it. It is an ideal location for anyone who wants to sample all that London has to offer.
The hotel itself offers wireless internet throughout, as well as a restaurant (Tiger Green Brasserie), bar (Berry Bar & Lounge), business centre and 24-hour concierge. Pets are not allowed in the hotel, but there is a foreign currency exchange, a news stand, and an area to store baggage. Children are well catered-for, and there are connecting rooms, cots, high chairs and a playground available. The staff are multi-lingual, and there is 24-hour room service.
Some of the rooms are very small and some areas of the hotel have not been updated recently. Some of the rooms are reportedly quite small. One of the more common complaints from customers is that the hotel does not feel like a Hilton, so if you regularly use Hiltons it may be worth being aware that this hotel might not be of the same standard as other Hiltons in other cities, or even the Hilton near Paddington.
The hotel is not a luxurious option: the beds are not the most comfortable many of its patrons have ever slept on, but it offers good, standard facilities in a prime location. Mayfair is beautiful and expensive, and for a taste of some of Londons luxuries you are in the right place in the Hilton London Green Park, even if you have to leave the hotel to find them.
This hotel is in a great location for tourists. It is close to the major parks, the best restaurants, the most exclusive clubs, the finest shopping, and the most interesting cultural activities that London has to offer. Theatreland and Soho, Whitehall and most of the museums are all within a few minutes tube ride. You are at the heart of the city, and however you wish to spend your holiday, you should find what you are looking for within easy reach of the Hilton London Green Park.
