Kings Cross Hotels
The Kings Cross area has a fascinating history. During this period the inhabitants established premises that endure today as St.Pancras old church (right). The church boasts an original Romano-British altar.
The original "Kings Cross" was a monument to King George IV who reigned between 1820 and 1830. The nearby slum of St. Giles was the setting for Charles Dickens novel Oliver Twist. During the nineteenth century, this area was one of Londons poorest districts.
The 18th and 19th centuries saw the arrival of first canals and then railways. These transformed an, until then, semi-rural Kings Cross into an urban area of slums and workmans lodgings.
Today, Kings Cross most famous export is childrens favourite Harry Potter. Harry's train to Hogwarts left from platform nine and three quarters!!

Unfortunately, the Albion House Hotel is no longer recommended by Hotel-Assist.com.
This is due to reservations being moved from the Albion House to 1 star hotels nearby in Kings Cross, on the guests arrival to the hotel. The hotel has attracted many complaints from our guests and as a result we are not offering reservations at this hotel.
