Berwick Street W1 runs through the Soho area, from Oxford Street W1 into Peter Street W1, sharing junctions with Noel Street W1, Broadwick Street W1 and D' Arblay Street W1.

Built between 1687-1703, Berwick Street is thought to be named after the Duke of Berwick.

Today Berwick Street is home to a variety of fashion and music stores, in addition to Berwick Street Market. Berwick Street Market, which has its origins in the 18th century, is a thriving mixture of stalls, with traders selling fruit, vegetables, flowers and inexpensive CD's. Berwick Street Market is open Monday to Saturday.

There are a number of fashion stores located along Berwick Street, as well as a number of second hand music stores.

The popular Beatroot vegetarian restaurant is located in this area, at 92 Berwick Street W1. Berwick Street lies close to many places of interest within London's West End, including the London Palladium, located 400m west on Argyll Street W1.
