Bevis Marks Synagogue is the oldest still in use within all the United Kingdom. The synagogue's most prominent feature is the Renaissance style ark (containing theTorah scrolls) located at the centre of the Eastern wall of the building. Painted to look as though it is made of coloured Italian marble, it is actually made entirely of oakwood.
The Bevis Marks Restaurant claims to be the best Kosher restaurants in the City of London.
