Frith Street in London W1 is located in the heart of Soho, running south from Soho Square into Shaftesbury Avenue, with junctions on Bateman Street, Old Compton Street and Romilly Street.
Named after Richard Frith, a wealthy builder, Frith Street was built in the 1670's and 1680's and became popular with artists and writers based in London.
Frith Street is located close to the West End's Theatreland, near both the Soho and Prince Edward theatres.
Frith Street is home to the world famous Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, where guests can enjoy quality food and drinks accompanied by the music of established and contemporary singers, at 47 Frith Street.
The Bruno Soho restaurant, which provides north African influenced French cuisine, under the guidance of renowned French chef Bruno Loubet, stands at 64 Frith Street. The popular Bruno Soho restaurant is open for lunch between 12.30pm-14.30pm Monday to Friday and between 18.30pm-23.00pm Monday to Saturday for dinner.
Frith Street lies close to a number of places of interest within west London, such as the National Gallery, one of London's top attractions, located 500m south-east.
The popular shopping and entertainment area of Covent Garden is situated 700m east of Frith Street, while the thriving Leicester Square can be found 300m south.
Frith Street is situated close to a number of bus, taxi and London Underground services. Piccadilly Circus Station, which provides Bakerloo and Piccadilly line services to destinations such as Oxford Circus and Holborn, stands 400m south-west of Frith Street on Piccadilly.
