Hyde Park London
Hyde Park is located immediately west of Park Lane in Central London. It is bounded by Bayswater to the north and Kensington to the south and covers in excess of 350 acres.
Hotels near Hyde Park London
London Hotels on the northern side of Hyde Park are in the Bayswater and Paddington districts whilst the southern boundary is mostly Kensington. To the east you have the upmarket hotels of Park Lane and Mayfair with Marble Arch at the top north eastern corner.
In very general terms, hotel prices are highest in Kensington and Mayfair whilst the lowest prices are in Paddington. Bayswater hotels are somewhat in the middle of these price differences.
When selecting your Hyde Park hotel you must bear in mind that transport from any of these areas is fast and efficient and is not really a main deciding factor. Local amenities can be important and the area to the south of the park, Kensington, wins hands down.
If price is the main factor then best to look at Paddington or Bayswater areas which are generally £15-£20 per night lower than Kensington and £60+ pounds per night cheaper than Mayfair.
Hotels in Northern Hyde Park
Hotels in Bayswater can be found on almost every street. They tend to be mainly tourist class (3 star) with a sprinkling of 4 stars. The area of Bayswater is almost all residential. The central Line (tube) will take you directly to Oxford Circus and the City of London.
A 4 star hotel overlooking Hyde Park is the Lancaster Hotel London. This well known purpose built hotel offers in excess of 400 guestrooms, some overlooking the park.

The Holiday Villa Hotel London (usually well under £100 per double room) is also in Bayswater. This is a 3 star hotel offering very competitive prices and is worth checking out. Not an ordinary three star Bayswater Hotel, The Holiday Villa offers style and luxury with a twist of Malaysian Hospitality. Just North of Hyde Park is W2 Bayswater, within zone one and just ten minutes from the West End, the area is popular with tourists and residents alike. Paddington is to the north east of Hyde Park and is the location of the Heathrow Express Terminal which offers a high speed connection directly into the airport terminals. The area is very good for accessing Oxford Street on foot.

Hotels to the south of Hyde Park
This area is upmarket Kensington with a hint of Knightsbridge in the south east corner. In this area you have lots of shopping areas including Harrods, a vast array of restaurants and attractions including the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Gardens Palace and the museums.
Hotels in Kensington range from 3 to 5 star are probably like for like around £15-£20 per night more expensive than those of Bayswater, but offer easier travel, a more upmarket area and more choice of local amenities.
