Horse lovers are looking to book hotels in London for The London International Horse Show at Olympia,

The London International Horse Show has been held at Olympia for over 100 years, since the First Royal International Horse Show in 1907. Olympia is a top venue with good transport links close to cheap London hotels.

Olympia is the UK's premier show jumping competition. Crowds love the thrills and spills of seeing their favourite show jumping superstars in action, the elegance of dressage and other exciting events that will draw top riders from around the world.

There are two show jumping classes each day (except the dressage days) with afternoon performances starting at 12:30pm and evening performances starting at 6:00pm. Evening shoes finish around 10:45pm so it makes sense for visitors to book hotels in London. The best way to find cheap London hotels is through online booking.

And if world class show jumping and dressage wasn't enough there's plenty of other action and fun…

Watch the Metropolitan Police fast-paced display of perfect timing, total commitment and trust between horse and rider as they jump through fire, complete fast crossovers and perform other dazzling stunts. And then there's Jean-Franςois Pignon world-famous displays of unbelievable horsemanship.

For a change of pace there's the fun and spectacle of the Shetland Pony Grand National which is always a crowd-pleaser and has raised £350,000 for charity.

It's not all horses either! There's the popular dog agility trials and The Olympia Shopping Village with over 200 shops selling gifts, equestrian goods, food and clothing – perfect for your Christmas shopping.

Doors generally open at 10:00am for afternoon performances and 1:00pm for evening performances. 

Getting to Olympia

Olympia Exhibition Halls are in West Kensington – well serviced by public transport and within easy reach of cheap London hotels. Kensington Olympia station is both on the District Line of the tube and a mainline train station with direct trains to/ from Clapham Junction, Gatwick Airport, Brighton, Watford Junction, Milton Keynes, Northampton and Rugby. The following bus routes also service Olympia - numbers 9, 10, 27, 28,49 and 391.
