Built around 1720, Maddox Street was named after Sir Benjamin Maddox, the ground landlord of the Millfield estate, of which Maddox Street was a part. Maddox Street, which has intersections with Mill Street, Pollen Street and St. George Street, is today home to a variety of shops, restaurants, offices and luxury apartments.
Maddox Street is a great place to find somewhere to eat within the busy West End of London, with a wide range of restaurants located here, such as Browns Restaurant & Bar.
Browns serves a wide range of generously sized British dishes in a converted courthouse at 47 Maddox Street. This popular venue has over 170 seats and diners can enjoy meals in a stylish setting, with high ceilings and glass skylights.
