York Street is located in the north-west central London, running east from Harcourt Street into Baker Street in Marylebone London W1.

York Street, which has junctions with Seymour Place , Upper Montagu Street and Gloucester Place, was laid around 1801 and is thought to have been named after Frederick, the 'Grand Old' Duke of York.

The popular shopping area of Oxford Street, home to stores such as Selfridges, House of Fraser and John Lewis, lies 700m south. York Street is located 300m north of Marylebone Station, which runs National Rail trains and London Underground services on the Bakerloo line, to stations including Regent's Park and Oxford Circus.
