This award winning conference centre has excellent transport links due to its central London location, close to Victoria and Charing Cross stations. The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre was opened on 24th June 1986 and remains one of London's major conference and meeting venues, with modern facilities and an excellent events team. The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre has recently undergone a £570,000 refurbishment and is now a non smoking building, for the comfort of visitors. The centre is full air conditioned and fully cater for between 40-1000 guests, with various rooms and packages offered to suit individual needs. The Churchill Auditorium at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre has the capacity to hold over 700 guests comfortably. There are 7 Event Managers at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, as well as an Event Operations Manager. These staff members are on hand to cater for the needs of conference holders and are supported by residential project management and technical support teams. The centre, which has built in WIFI access, also provides online conference and web-casting facilities on site. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be catered for at the center and the catering team here can create buffets and exciting light snacks that suit all dietary requirements.
The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre is close to many places of interest within Westminster, such as Parliament Square, St James's Park and Green Park. Oxford Circus station is 2 stops from Victoria Underground Station, on the Victoria line. Charing Cross mainline and London Underground station is 400m north of the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre. Charing Cross Underground Station, on the Northern and Bakerloo lines, is 1 stop from Leicester Square WC2, home to a variety of cinemas, bars and restaurants, as well as the popular Trocadero entertainment centre.
