Whitechapel Bell Foundry

If you fancy doing something other than the usual London Eye, Madam Tussauds, Buckingham Palace routine thing then consider this bell foundry for a visit. An entry in the Guinness Book of Records lists the Whitechapel Bell Foundry as Britain's oldest manufacturing company, having been established in 1570 (during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I) and being in continuous business since that date. Visits to the actual foundry are confined to Saturdays commencing at 10.00am and 2.00pm.
