Baileys Hotel London

Established in 1876, Baileys Hotel London combines the comfort of a private residence with the luxury of hotel living. Recently restored to its original elegance and splendour, the latest communication systems were installed at the same time to equip this Victorian jewel in the heart of The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea for the future.
The 212 traditionally-styled, air-conditioned bedrooms with en suite bathrooms include 27 with sitting area, and there are also two suites. All rooms have a fax/modem point, television with movie and satellite channels, and direct dial telephone with automated message system. Room service at Baileys Hotel London is round the clock.
Olives Restaurant features traditional British and innovative international dishes. The decor marries modern furnishings with 19th century architecture, and air conditioning gives way to an open fire during the winter months.
Gloucester Road underground station, on the Circle, Piccadilly and District lines, is opposite the Baileys Hotel London, providing direct links to the City, theatreland, and Heathrow Airport. The hotel has a car park on site. Within 100 yards you have access to several good quality restaurants (including the
Bombay Brasserie which we recommend highly for contemporary Indian Cuisine), HSBC Bank, Tesco 24 hour Express, Casino and secure car parking. Within a 10 minute walk you have the Natural History Museum, Science Museum, Brompton and car showrooms such as Lamborghini and Ferrari, all in all a very good area to be located in.

BROCHURE DESCRIPTION:
A stay with Baileys Hotel London like having your very own magnificent town house, breaking down the formality of a traditional hotel in an atmosphere that is as refreshing as it is relaxing. Our doors first opened in 1876 as one of the very first purpose built hotels in London. Doors that remained open through the turn of the century, changes in ownership and even two world wars.
One distinctive mark remains ingrained: character. From the moment you enter our stately hall, the authentic Victorian decor envelops you. Warm muted tones combine with glorious dark woods, blending perfectly to create a truly relaxing and enchanting ambience.
From the elegance of the sculptured wrought iron on the grand staircase through to the detailed craftsmanship of the wooden flooring and cornices. Genuine quality. Personality and character are features that cannot be created, merely attained through respect and values.
Like our excellent, traditional service, it gets better with time. Exceptional cuisine and a welcoming atmosphere ensure our restaurant achieves this with considerable ease. Whilst most hotel bedrooms are simply a place to sleep, ours are much more. Peaceful and quiet, a retreat from the city bustle, providing the ideal place to muse over your day, at the end of which, you can sleep comfortably in the knowledge that everything has been taken care of.
VERDICT
Brilliant location adjacent to Gloucester Road tube station. The hotel has the appeal of a an old established hotel but all is immaculate and facilities are modern. The room rates are usually excellent value for money and we would recommend Baileys Hotel highly.
