Radisson Edwardian Vanderbilt Hotel Guest Room The Radisson Edwardian Vanderbilt Hotel - Comment:

This hotel is right around the corner from the Montana Hotel and if you read our review for there about how good this location is then you know we like this area a lot. It has it all, attractions, restaurants, bars, shops and Harrods just up the road. The transport links from Gloucester road tube station just across the road are superb and you can even travel direct to London Heathrow Airport without any changes from this station. The downside may be the traffic noise as there is a major road junction right outside the front of the hotel so request a room at the rear. If you do stay here check out Paul's just across the road which is a genuine French brasserie serving gorgeous croissants. The hotel is "OK", its a little outdated but not to the point where it is a major problem. Good points are the comfortable beds, good comfortable lounge area and the great buffet breakfast. Downside points include traffic noise at the front, unreliable lift and a little outdated decor.

Hotel Assist Verdict: Value for money hotelValue for money hotelValue for money hotelValue for money hotel Value for money??? depends on the rate for your particular date of stay. This hotel can be sky high or really cheap depending on how busy / quiet they anticipate being. Worth checking out for a sub 100 pound rate. Definitely not in the same league as the nearby Harrington Hall, Holiday Inn Forum, Baileys or the Gloucester so if rates at the Vanderbilt Hotel are equal to these then we suggest that you select an alternative.

Eat and Drink
Serving modern British cuisine with an Australian twist, this restaurant has a modern classical feel - with wooden floors, unusual objects d'art, and a striking cracked glass bar, as the central feature. Private dining alcoves and suites are also available. The Vanderbilt suite is perfect for private dining with its frescoed ceiling and wood panelling.

At 68-86 Bar and Restaurant, our Australian Head Chef, Robert Cregan combines the best of eclectic modern British cooking with influences from the Pacific Rim. Robert uses interesting combinations of the freshest ingredients, herbs and spices in a balanced way. He believes the individual flavours in a dish should complement rather than compete against each other.

Cleo's Wine Bar is the place to relax. Modern furnishings complement abstract artwork. Light snacks and hot and cold buffet are served as an alternative to the restaurant.
