Barbican Centre - Silk Street - Distance 1600m
The Barbican Centre is the largest centre for the performing arts in London. From theatre productions to music concerts, art exhibitions to film screenings, the Barbican Centre is the base of the London Symphony Orchestra, and has 3 restaurants, a library and several Conference and Trade Exhibition facilities. The Barbican Centre is within a five minute walk of Barbican tube station.

Business District - London City
When referring to "The City" in London, one would be usually talking about London's Central Business District, which whilst not technically a recognised borough of London, is the heart of London's business and finance. It is sometimes called the Square Mile, and includes Farringdon, St Pauls, Liverpool Street and the Barbican to name but a few key areas.

Travelling to the City

Heathrow
Take the Heathrow Express train from the airport to Paddington station. Here you can switch to the London Underground and take a Hammersmith & City line train to Aldgate East. Exit the station onto Whitechapel High Street and follow it left onto Whitechapel Road. Turn left onto Osborn Street and the hotel is on the right.

Gatwick
Take the Gatwick Express train to Victoria. Here you can easily change to the London Underground. Get a District line train straight to Aldgate East. Exit the station onto Whitechapel High Street and follow it left onto Whitechapel Road. Turn left onto Osborn Street and the hotel is on the right.

Driving
From the M25 ring road take the exit at J15 (Heathrow) onto the M4 east and continue straight onto the A4 making no detours. Continue along the A4 onto Piccadilly Parade. At this round about take the third exit (Constitution Hill) through St James's Park. Take the first exit on the next roundabout (The Mall) and follow this road to the end. At the next roundabout take the third exit onto Northumberland Avenue all the way to the Embankment. Turn left and continue all the way along Victoria Embankment taking the Blackfriars Underpass onto Upper Thames Street and then Lower Thames Street.

Branch left onto Byward Street and then Tower Hill. turn left onto Minories and follow it along the bend to the right onto goodman's Yard. At the end turn left onto Mansell Street and follow it along, turning right at Whitechapel High Street. Follow it onto Whitechapel Road. Turn left onto Osborn Street and the hotel is on the right.
