We love Malmaison! The décor, the service, the rooms, the public areas, especially the bar & the brasserie.

Malmaison London is not the absolute finest of what this up-and-coming hotel-chain can offer but it more than makes up for it with cutting-edge cool and an uber-fashionable location: in Charterhouse Square, on the edge of the square mile and in the heart of hip Clerkenwell.

The spacious rooms are sumptuously decorated in lilac and red. Each of them equipped with the regular selection of Malmaison goodies:

For breakfast there's a fantastic selection which can be chosen the night before (allow plenty of time there's lots of options) and delivered to your room the next morning. The brasserie serves a contemporary mix of locally sourced dishes for lunch and dinner. There's two bars including a Veuve Clicquot Champagne bar; the main bar serves a wide selection of drinks and house cocktails.

For the energetic, there's a gym open weekdays 06.30 – 21.00 & weekends 08.00 – 20.00. Here you will find resistance and running machines as well as weights.

Stayed here in September as a special treat for 2 nights with my fianc�. We both loved the style, the service and the amenities and hope to return again soon.

Clerkenwell Guide

Situated east of King’s Cross and just south of Islington, Clerkenwell was once a home of monkish piety – nowadays it’s a whole lot more lively.
