Overview
A big plus for this hotel is the location, being close to Gloucester Road tube station gives the guest many options for shopping (Harrod's & Harvey Nichols), sightseeing (Museums, The Natural History, Victoria & Albert or the Science), eating (Bombay Brasserie, the 5th floor at Harvey Nichols, Black & Blue), or just whiling away the hours in Kensington Gardens & Kensington Palace. Oh and for musical events/ shows & concerts, the Royal Albert Hall is also just a short distance away
Arriving or departing from Heathrow Airport is so easy with a direct tube link from Gloucester Road (approx 40 mins).
The beds and bedlinen are just wonderful, cleanliness is top notch, every part of the hotel sparkles. I particularly enjoyed the gym / pool, normally you pay a hefty surcharge to use the leisure services in this part of London, not here! The restaurant I used and enjoyed the food however it was not outstanding, the atmosphere is lovely though. The bar did get a little noisy one evening but you can find seats nearby to relax with a good glass of wine or one of the many potent cocktails!
Opposite if you find you have run out of some necessary article, the Sainsbury store is open 24/7
The hotel is definitely geared to the business sector but don't let that put you off, it's worth trying if you are a family young or old or even for those romantic weekends. Enjoy.....
The Marriott Kensington Hotel is situated just 5 minutes walk from both the Gloucester Road and the Earls Court tube stations. The area of South kensington is one of the safest in central London and enables fast travel all around the center via the tube system.

Upgrraded to an Exec room to get a king size bed at a very reasonable cost as hotel threw in breakfast as well (and it was a very good breakfast). Really nice big room, comfortable bed; only complaint was that air con was not very effective and u cannot open the windows as you overlook the atrium.
