Marriott Kensington Hotel Guest Room The Marriott Kensington Hotel - Comment:

A big plus for this hotel is the location, being close to Gloucester Road tube station gives the guest many options for shopping (Harrod's & Harvey Nichols), sightseeing (Museums, The Natural History, Victoria & Albert or the Science), eating (Bombay Brasserie, the 5th floor at Harvey Nichols, Black & Blue), or just whiling away the hours in Kensington Gardens & Kensington Palace. Oh and for musical events/ shows & concerts, the Royal Albert Hall is also just a short distance away
Arriving or departing from Heathrow Airport is so easy with a direct tube link from Gloucester Road (approx 40 mins).
The beds and bedlinen are just wonderful, cleanliness is top notch, every part of the hotel sparkles. I particularly enjoyed the gym / pool, normally you pay a hefty surcharge to use the leisure services in this part of London, not here! The restaurant I used and enjoyed the food however it was not outstanding, the atmosphere is lovely though. The bar did get a little noisy one evening but you can find seats nearby to relax with a good glass of wine or one of the many potent cocktails!
Opposite if you find you have run out of some necessary article, the Sainsbury store is open 24/7
The hotel is definitely geared to the business sector but don't let that put you off, it's worth trying if you are a family young or old or even for those romantic weekends. Enjoy.....

Hotel Assist Verdict: Value for money hotelValue for money hotelValue for money hotel Value for Money - yes we like most aspects apart from the noisy bar. Value for money - for the area its "ok" but check out its rivals, the Harrington Hall, ParkCity and Gloucester for better rates or, for a slightly lower standard and price the Holiday Inn Kensington Forum.
