The MiNC Apartments, Mayfair Court, London claim to offer a Dubai-style quality of living in the heart of London. The five-star serviced apartments are all one-bedroom, are located just off Oxford Street, and provide an ideal location from which to explore Britains capital. However, despite a great location and good facilities, some visitors have found cleanliness to be an issue in the apartments.
Mayfair is one of Londons most exclusive districts. It is home to some of Londons most famous and desirable shopping districts, including Piccadilly and Burlington Arcade. Mayfair runs from Hyde Park to Regent Street going west to east, and from Piccadilly to Oxford Street south to north. Rents in Mayfair are among the highest in the world. Its close to a number of tube stations, including Bond Street and Oxford Circus. Within Mayfair are the Royal Academy of Art, the Handel House Museum and the Wallace Collection, whilst the National Gallery and National Portrait Gallery are within easy walking distance. Fine dining is also easy, with Gordon Ramsay at Claridges just around the corner.
The MiNC Mayfair is a building of one-bedroom luxury serviced apartments. Its central location render car parking unnecessary for many, but, if it is needed, there is metered parking outside the front of the hotel. Every apartment has wireless broadband, a television and DVD player , and iPod docking station. There are quality furnishings and a fully fitted kitchen in each apartment. Appliances include a dishwasher, oven, microwave, coffee machine, washer / dryer, a fridge, and a hairdryer. Smoking is not permitted in any of the apartments. All of the apartments have been renovated recently.
The MiNC Apartments are located in the heart of Londons busiest and most famous shopping district. Whilst there, you are just minutes away from Selfridges, and many flagship stores. Oxford Street, Regent Street, and Piccadilly are all on your doorstep, and if you get hungry whilst shopping you can always pop into the world famous Fortnum and Mason. For those with a taste for the finer things, Burlington Arcade offers both boutique shopping and a glimpse of a gentler, more civilised age.
However, despite the good location, some patrons have found reason to complain about the cleanliness and attention to detail in the apartments. Not having a central reception as it is a building of apartments, rather than a hotel, means that there is nowhere to leave luggage after you have checked out if you wish to explore London further, and some people have noted that this was quite inconvenient.
As you would expect, the apartments are compact, but they come fully furnished and equipped. Unlike a normal hotel, there is no reception to call down to, although they have a guest services number to deal with any problems. It is worth bearing in mind, however, that there is no room service, and the apartment is completely self-catering.
In all these are well-fitted-out apartments right in the heart of London, there could be few better locations from which to explore the city. However, bearing that in mind, the MiNC Mayfair Court does not offer the advantages of a hotel in terms of customer care, and is, essentially, self-catered.
