In the immediate vicinity are some world famous London museums - the Victoria & Albert, the Natural History, the Geological and the Science are all less than 5 minutes walk. The Royal Albert Hall in less than 10 minutes away by foot and the nearby Kensington High Street.
Harrods can be walked to in under 15 minutes. The surrounding area of Kensington offers many excellent fashion shops, restaurants and bars and is the "up market" area of the city center.

There are 52 bedrooms on 4 floors all served by a lift. For the budget minded single traveller, there are a limited number of economy single rooms with shared bathroom ( 2 bedrooms to each well fitted out bathroom ). Otherwise, all bedrooms at the Montana Hotel London have a private bathroom with bath and shower combined. Complimentary tea and coffee trays are available for those wishing to make their own drinks.
The air conditioned public areas are of a high standard and comprise of a Lounge Bar with satellite television and an adjacent sitting area with comfortable couches.
Breakfast is served in the restaurant and is continental style comprising of orange juice, tea, coffee, jams and toasts. A full English Cooked breakfast is available at a small supplement.
In the evenings, we recommend that you sample what is acknowledged to be one of the best Indian Cuisine in Kensington in the Montana's very own air conditioned restaurant "The Light of India".
This is a good safe area with superb transport links around the city and out to Heathrow airport, many local attractions including the Natural History Museum and Harrods, bars and restaurants to suit everyones taste and budget and it's walking distance to Hyde Park and the shops of High Street Kensington. Earls Court, Chelsea, Fulham and Knightsbridge are also close to The Montana Hotel.

Highly recommended for families due to having rooms for up to 5 persons and because both the lift and stairwell entrances are completely visible from the bar and lounge so no security problems.

I stay in London on a regular basis so I know many of the hotels in that area of Kensington and I know that the Montana is quite a good 3 star hotel. I have seen it advertised as 4 star but it is not anywhere near 4 star. The downside is the breakfast which is paltry, however, it is included in the price and within 200 yards are several places to have a hearty breakfast at a reasonable price so that does not worry me too much. We were informed that there had been an overbooking and no room was available for us for that night. We had been booked into another hotel for that night but we had to return to the Montana for breakfast the following morning and we would then be able to stay at the Montana that night but our room would not be ready until the afternoon. The hotel staff were unapologetic and were only interested in informing us how it had cost them "an arm and a leg" to book us into thie other hotel which was of

This little hotel was a great find and we really enjoyed the hotel and the area. Everything we needed was in 5 minutes walk - even an all night superstore. The tube was handy and got us all round London. We especially liked the bar at the hotel - so friendly!! As it was a weekend, we parked for free opposite the hotel which was a real bonus. It was a good experience and highly recommended
