Royal Sussex Hotel Guest Room The Royal Sussex Hotel - Comment: " Cheap and cheerful "

This area is an accepted tourist haunt and is also is an area of fast increasing property prices due mainly to "Little Venice" on the Grand Canal. Paddington can not compete with staying in the West End or Kensington but it is an acceptable area and the big advantages are lower prices and easy access to most areas of central london via the Paddington tube station and it's Circle and District Line. It also has the Heathow Express terminal very close by.
The Royal Sussex is by no means a top class hotel and I would prefer it to be classed as a 2 star in which case it would be good value for money. In saying that, the rates are cheap and so long as your expectations are not high you will appreciate its location.

I would not want to pay more than £ 75 for a twin room. Above this price there are better choices but if you are looking for a cheap deal in a central location and simply a bed and a roof over your head then its a very good option.

Where is it? - MAP
The Royal Sussex hotel is located on the peaceful Sussex Gardens, just around the corner from Paddington to the north of the picturesque Hyde Park. Easily reached from Heathrow Airport via the Heathrow Express train and excellent transport links to the West End and attractions of the capital, the Royal Sussex is a great base to explore London.

The Royal Sussex has the Zebra restaurant, a stylish relaxed space with a contemporary setting and superb menu. After you dine you can unwind in the hotel's lounge bar serving coffees and cocktails.

In addition, the Royal Sussex hotel also serves a hearty buffet Full English breakfast each morning.

The Royal Sussex presents a tasteful blend of traditional and contemporary and is well suited to both leisure and business guests. The hotel lobby, gallery and public areas are adorned with contemporary artworks conjuring a tranquil atmosphere throughout the hotel.

Nearby facilities
The Heathrow Express operates from the nearby Paddington station, making travelling to and from the airport an easy task. Also from Paddington you can easily get around to the West End, with Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Circus just a few minutes away.

Nearby is Marble Arch and the west end of Oxford Street, great for high street shopping and souvenirs. With Hyde Park within walking distance you can also enjoy relaxing strolls in the park.

Paddington has plenty of places to eat, if you don't feel like going to far, and there are numerous pubs and bars in the area for an evening drink amongst colleagues, friends or family.
