Hyde Park is a ten minute walk to the north and Chelsea a similar time to the south.
Earls Court and its exhibition centre are also easily walkable.

Top location for Rydges Kensington Plaza which can only please. It is an upmarket residential area which is safe to be around at night. Travel links are superb and many shops within an easy walk.

I have stayed at Rydges three times during this year. I am suprised at some of the bad reviews as I travel frequently and I consider this hotel to be very good. I did have a problem during the height of summer with poor a/c but everything else has been an above average experience.
