The St Simeon Hotel London is a quirky budget hotel in a 5 star location. Its so "Faulty Towers" that guests go back for more entertainment. Guest comments include "Run by aliens", "Fun in London", "I didn't know whether to laugh or cry", "ate so much and laughed with them", "the waitresses wore lab coats!".
Clearly if you are on a honeymoon or like your Holiday Inns then look elsewhere; if you have a sense of humour then it may be the best thing ever!
The St Simeon Hotel London, whatever the comments, is in a near perfect location for travel around all the city and, despite being only a 2 star, is in a very very upmarket safe area. From Gloucester Road tube station you can travel on the Circle and District Line all around London. Within walking range is The Natural History Museum, The Victoria and Albert Museum, the Science Museum, the Royal Albert Hall and Harrods.

The Hotel is centrally heated and television sets can be provided. There is a Guest communual dining and TV Room that is provided for use throughout the day.
Guests have use of the kitchen to prepare their meals and two large supermarkets are within a short walking distance.
Be warned - the St Simeon hotel is a Faulty Towers but because the owners are so friendly, guests tend to be overawed by the antics and cock ups. Maybe best left to people with a warped sense of humour?

Think Students quarters, think fawlty towers, but all in a nice way. For the price I thought great location but there had to be a catch. Catch being a bit tired, wizened old owner who forgets your requests. But I enjoyed it immensely. On the upside you get access to the kitchen to make tea or coffee and have sandwiches whenever. Clearly it needs to improve, do not book if your lack a sense of humour. Weirdly I would definitely stay again.
