£100m REFURBISHMENT - 6 RESTAURANTS - GORDON RAMSEY - FULL HEALTH SPA - THE AMERICAN BAR - THIS WILL BE "THE" PLACE TO STAY IN LONDON ......
The Savoy Hotel London has been the subject of one of the largest refurbishments ever undertaken in London with costs rising to in excess of £100m.
Across the road from Covent Garden and walking distance to Theatreland, the Savoy Hotel is not only luxurious but also in a perfect location from where to explore London.
This superb example of British architecture has retained the Edwardian and Art Deco themes but brought them into the 21st century.
Still there are the American bar with its legendary cocktails, Ramseys Savoy Grill and the River Restaurant. The Beaufort Bar offers one of the most comprehensive ranges of champagne available anywhere in the world.
In the bedrooms and suites, designer, Pierre Yves Rochon has masterfully retained the previous architectural elegance with modern technology and comforts. In the spaciois bathrooms you can still find the Savoys famous rain showerheads and complimentary signature toiletries by Miller Harris.
Even the most "basic" guest room (if there is such a thing here) offers a writing desk, comfortable armchair, a personal bar, a Loewe flat-screen television, Vita Audio ipod docking station and bespoke Savoy furnishings.
The River View Deluxe guest rooms have stunning views of the River Thames and average 43 square metres in size.

Dining at the Savoy Hotel:
River Restaurant
The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the culinary direction is modern French with an emphasis on serving the very best local and seasonal produce.
Savoy Grill:
Chef Patron Stuart Gillies, of Gordon Ramsay Holdings, will oversee a menu that will return to the classic Escoffier-inspired grill rooms of old.
Simpsons in the Strand:
The restaurant's speciality is Scottish beef on the bone that has been aged for 28 days for maximum flavour. The beef is carved at guests' tables from antique silver-domed trolleys.
American Bar:
The bar features a live pianist seven days a week, playing classic American Jazz. The American Bar retains the style of the golden age of cocktails in the 1920’s, headed up by Daniel Baernreuther.
Beaufort Bar:
The Beaufort Bar is Londons preferred choice for tasting the world's finest champagnes. Built on the Savoy's original cabaret stage, the bar provides a real sense of splendour and opulence.
Thames Foyer:
The Thames Foyer is the ideal place for light, informal dining or afternoon tea. The centerpiece of the room is the magnificent new winter garden gazebo.
Savoy Tea Rooms:
Showcasing the Savoy’s traditional Afternoon Tea experience, Savoy Tea is located on the Reception level overlooking the Thames Foyer.
Inspired by London’s Edwardian shopping arcades, Savoy Tea is a charming, bijou tea store. Guests can choose to buy from a wide variety of teas, handmade jams, biscuits as well as The Savoy’s bespoke china cups & saucers and tea accessories whilst also having the opportunity to see the hotel’s pastry chefs and chocolatiers at work.
